Job summary

Dyson is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer in Singapore to own the Out of the Box experience for Dyson Connected products. You will build API and microservices in AWS, using Node.js, C#, or other suitable languages, and run them in containers or serverless environments.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Cloud Architecture and AWS.
• Experience designing and delivering microservices and serverless solutions.
• Proficient in monitoring, security, IAM and data integration concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy microservice and serverless applications on AWS.
• Ensure designs are scalable, robust, secure, and high-performance.

• Monitor, measure, and investigate production issues and lead issues to closure

About the role

As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the Out of the Box experience of all Dyson Connected products, this includes pairing the Dyson Link app with connected products and building API and microservices for Connected products.

You will be using Node.js, C# or whatever is right for the job - to run in containers or as serverless functions within the AWS cloud. You will be responsible for features from inception to delivery, ensuring that all software produced is to the highest standard. You will be working collaboratively with the team in paired programming and mobbing sessions to ensure that we deliver the right solution for the problem at hand.

The team follow agile methodologies and are keen to ensure that the latest and best practices for software development are followed; all team members are encouraged to contribute to these evolving standards.

You'll have

• Have a good foundation in Cloud Architecture and Development
• Strong proficiency in AWS cloud platform
• Expertise in cloud-native technologies: microservices, serverless computing, containers, APIs.
• Experienced with continuous integration and continuous delivery techniques and tooling
• Solid skills in DotNet Core or NodeJS development and working knowledge in Python
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity & access management, and monitoring.
• Good knowledge in Tableau and other BI tools
• Experience in building production quality software
• Exposure to automated testing (Unit / Integration)
• Familiarity with Agile working practices
• Outstanding communication skills and good leadership.
