Job summary

re-zoo-me is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Lead to head a core engineering team building scalable backend platforms and services for a global B2B technology business. The role is hands-on and spans platform, cloud infrastructure, deployment, and production operations.

You will design high-performance systems, manage reliability and observability, and collaborate with product, architecture and DevOps to translate requirements into robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Golang backend development.
• Experience with AWS and cloud platforms.
• Experience with platform engineering or production engineering.
• Proven ability to design and operate high‑volume APIs, microservices or distributed systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
• Strong relational database knowledge, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams.
• Experience with B2B product or technology platform is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers while remaining hands-on technically.
• Design and develop scalable backend services and high-volume REST APIs using Golang.
• Own the reliability, scalability, performance and availability of core platform services.
• Design and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Work with Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code to support automated deployments.
• Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, TDD, documentation and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system resilience and observability.
• Work closely with Product, Architecture, DevOps and other teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support modernization and evolution of existing systems and services.
• Establish a strong engineering culture focused on quality, ownership and continuous delivery.
