TikTok PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced backend architect to lead the design and implementation of large-scale systems across global markets. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure high concurrency and availability while working with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes building scalable platforms, with responsibilities spanning from system design to governance and disaster recovery planning, contributing to TikTok Shop and related ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in CS/IT or related discipline.
• 2+ years managing or leading a software engineering team.
• 5+ years of large-scale backend system development experience.
• Proficient coding skills with Java, Golang, or C++.
• Familiar with middleware technologies such as message queues, caching systems, and scheduled tasks.
• Led development and architectural design of medium to large-scale complex business systems with high concurrency and availability.
• Proven experience in leading teams with strong leadership and results.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the architecture of medium to large-scale systems (sellers, products, partners).
• Abstract business logic and design scalable architectures based on business needs.
• Ensure stability: multi-data center scheduling, governance, disaster recovery.
• Provide guidance to engineers and drive the team to deliver high-quality results.
• Analyze business data, identify pain points, and shape long-term technical strategy.
