Job summary

ASCENDZE PTE. LTD. seeks a hands-on automation engineer to own projects from engineering through FAT, shipment, installation and commissioning, working with customers, engineering teams, technicians, suppliers and management.

You will gain exposure across mechanical, electrical, controls/software, robotics and system integration while developing toward project leadership and cross-functional collaboration. Expect meaningful responsibility early in your career.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or related discipline.
• Approximately 3-6 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, customized equipment, machine-building or system integration.
• Good hands-on engineering fundamentals and practical problem-solving ability.
• Experience or exposure to supplier/fabricator coordination and project execution.
• Strong ownership, urgency, follow-through and willingness to take responsibility for results.
• Good communication and coordination skills with customers, suppliers, engineers and technicians.
• Willing to travel for project installation, commissioning and customer support when required.
• Experience in Semiconductor, Electronics or other high-tech manufacturing industries will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned automation projects from project kick-off through final customer acceptance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, resource plans and action lists.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within agreed scope, budget and quality requirements.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, PLC/Software, Robotics and other engineering activities.
• Review customer requirements and support technical feasibility, design reviews and engineering decisions.
• Monitor actual project progress and identify bottlenecks early.
• Drive corrective and recovery actions when projects fall behind plan.
• Coordinate FAT, packing, shipment, site installation, commissioning, SAT and project closure.
