Job summary

Sembcorp Utilities Services Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a laboratory leader to ensure the operational availability of the laboratory for water sample analysis and to develop, review, and maintain laboratory resources.

You will lead analysts, manage documentation for ISO 14001/ISO 45001 compliance, and drive method development, audits, and digitalisation initiatives to boost efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry preferred; other science or engineering degrees with lab experience will be considered.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in analytical laboratory testing or management.
• Experience in an accredited laboratory is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of analysts to perform daily laboratory operations and release reports.
• Manage laboratory documents and resources to ensure ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance.
• Develop methods for new or modified analyses, including validation and uncertainty estimation.
• Assist audits and proficiency testing, supporting external reviews.
• Manage inventory and equipment maintenance to ensure continuous availability.
• Provide training to lab analysts on methods and troubleshooting.
• Drive digitalisation initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity.
