Job summary

Eurofins MeChem in Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Manager (Environmental Chemistry) to lead day-to-day lab operations and ensure compliance with SAC-SINGLAS and ISO/IEC 17025 standards. The role requires supervising staff, coordinating QC and method verifications, and engaging with clients to provide technical support.

The ideal candidate has a minimum degree in Chemistry or related field with 8+ years of laboratory experience and at least 3 years of supervisory experience, with strong safety

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Chemistry or related field with 8+ years of laboratory experience.
• SAC-SINGLAS/ISO/IEC 17025 knowledge and quality systems.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience with audits and CAPA management.
• Strong multitasking and safety management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations and testing workflow.
• Supervise staff, scheduling and resource planning.
• Review data and test reports for sign-off by authorized personnel.
• Coordinate proficiency testing, method verification and QC activities.
• Lead strategic planning to improve laboratory performance.
• Engage with clients and management to discuss results and provide support.
