Job summary

HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency) seeks an Engineer/Lead Engineer of AI Solutions & Design to drive engagement strategy with Home Team Departments and HTX units, and with external partners such as industry and academia. The role focuses on mapping operational needs, translating requirements into AI use cases, and developing conceptual designs to address prioritised use cases.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in stakeholder engagement within data science/AI contexts, strong AI/ML

Qualifications

Postgraduate/tertiary qualification in computer science, engineering, information systems or other quantitative/analytical fields.
Minimum 5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, business development, account management, or related field in data science/AI/tech.
Strong interest in AI/ML, data analytics, with ability to communicate complex info to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

Engage with internal stakeholders to map operational needs and identify gaps aligned with HTX’s AI strategy.
Translate user requirements into high-level AI use cases and project plan (scope, processes, systems, timeline, outcomes).
Collaborate with cross-functional product/engineering teams to prioritise AI use cases considering impact, feasibility, resources.
Develop the conceptual design and solutioning with a mix of in-house, off-the-shelf, and co-developed capabilities.
Establish KPIs for engagement activities and monitor progress/impact of collaborations.
Prepare regular reports and updates on engagement successes, challenges, and opportunities.
