Job summary

HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency) is seeking a Lead Engineer (AI Training & Competency) to shape AI workforce capability-building across the Home Team. You will design AI learning content, digital experiences and competency frameworks, partnering with public-sector departments, industry, academia and training providers to deliver scalable AI learning.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant professional work experience in learning and development, instructional design, digital learning development, workforce capability development, or AI‑related training programmes.
Experience in developing competency frameworks, learning pathways and workforce capability-building initiatives.
Experience in designing and developing digital learning experiences, including e-learning content, learning journeys and online learning resources.
Familiar with instructional design methodologies and blended learning approaches.

Responsibilities

Support the design, development and delivery of AI upskilling and reskilling initiatives across the Home Team.
Design, develop and maintain engaging digital learning experiences and learning pathways.
Apply adult learning principles to create learner‑centric training programmes.
Translate AI capabilities into practical learning interventions.
Develop AI competency frameworks and learning pathways aligned with priorities.
Conduct learning needs analysis and identify skills gaps for continuous improvement.
Grow Communities of Practice and AI Advocate networks through learning activities.
Collaborate with Home Team Departments, industry partners, academia and training providers.
