Job summary

HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency) is seeking a Deputy Director, AI Software Engineering to lead a team delivering scalable AI platforms, products and solutions for Home Team Departments. The role combines engineering leadership, SME guidance, and project delivery across AI domains including Adversarial, Vision, Language and Multi-modal AI.

Qualifications

• Min Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
• 10+ years in product development work, of which at least 8 years in AI, and 5 years in large-scale AI projects with multi-site deployment.
• Knowledge in multi-tier architectures for AI/ML, Data Science and Data Analytics across one or more cloud providers.
• Strong leadership with ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Experience leading multi-agency teams.
• Proficiency in Python, C++ and related languages.
• Good knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras.

Responsibilities

• Develop technology roadmap for HTxAI Products teams, and lead customization and development across AI domains.
• Review AI & Digitalisation roadmaps considering HTD capabilities and gaps.
• Lead in-house development of AI technologies deployable for operations across multiple platforms.
• Advise on technical approaches to optimize model accuracy and processing efficiency.
• Guide adherence to Software Development, QA, DevOps and MLOps best practices.
• Provide SME consultation to HTDs and WOG agencies across Adversarial AI, Vision AI, Embodied AI, Language AI, Multi-modal AI and Emerging AI.
