Job summary

HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency) invites a Lead Engineer/Engineer to design, build and sustain the on‑premise AI and Cloud infrastructure for MHA. You will work on HPC clusters, GPU accelerators, and distributed AI workloads to support critical public safety applications.

You\'ll implement IaC, ensure security and compliance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a fast-paced environment while continuing to innovate in accelerator computing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computing / Computer Science / Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of infrastructure engineering experience with software development and/or AI engineering.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Proficiency in C++, Terraform, Cisco ACI or similar.
• Experience with Kubernetes clusters, containerisation and workload scheduling.
• Familiarity with database and storage solutions (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, and vector databases).
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance for handling confidential data.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Preferred: MLOps experience and serving AI models.
• Certifications in cloud platforms or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with Kafka, big data technologies and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and sustain the on-premise AI & Cloud infrastructure for MHA.
• Innovate with Lean infrastructure operations for high-performance computing environments, GPUs and cluster management.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of digital infrastructure resources for diverse software workloads.
• Innovate in accelerated computing using novel algorithms and hardware solutions for Home Team operations.
• Implement IaC, configuration management, and version control best practices.
• Develop scalable accelerated computing architectures for complex tasks.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
