Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Singapore is seeking an exceptional Laser Production Technician to manufacture and test lasers, laser sub-assemblies and components against documented specifications. You will perform fiber handling, splicing, routing, pig-tailing, and operate laser diodes, applying rigorous quality standards.

You will troubleshoot fiber-based assemblies, align subsystems with precision instruments, and integrate optical, mechanical and electrical components into complete systems.

Qualifications

• ITE or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related working experience.
• Technical competence in optical, mechanical or electrical assembly.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and test lasers, laser sub-assemblies and components.
• Handle, splice, route, pig-tail fibers and operate laser diodes.
• Troubleshoot fiber-based assemblies and laser diode issues.
• Assemble mechanical, electrical and optical subsystems.
• Install and align optical, mechanical and optical sub-assemblies into systems using precision instruments.
