Job summary

ELECTRO SCIENTIFIC INDUSTRIES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD is seeking a hands-on Mechanical/Electrical Assembly Technician to build and calibrate capital equipment.

You will work with vendors to prepare equipment for shipment and ensure all steps from assembly to final testing meet strict quality standards. The role requires independence after qualification, strong communication across all levels, and a willingness to work overtime or night/rotating shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Hands-on, technically competent and able to work independently after qualification.
• Willing to work OT, night/rotating shifts if required.
• Experience in similar field is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly on capital equipment per technical instructions.
• Collaborate with vendors to prepare capital equipment for shipment.
• Complete capital equipment build within takt time and ensure quality output.
• Monitor and expedite material delivery to meet production schedules.
• Own the entire build process in compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment promptly.
• Monitor tool calibration schedules and ensure timely calibration.
• Expected to train and work on two or more capital equipment.
