Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Laboratory Assistant to support specimen handling and processing in a medical laboratory setting. You will receive specimens, select and reject unsuitable samples, and pack items for send-out while keeping the area clean and organized.

Responsibilities include operating the Laboratory Information System, assisting with billing, and collaborating with Medical Technologists to ensure accurate results and adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Min N/O/A Level or Nitec in any field.
• Relevant work experience in a medical laboratory environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive laboratory specimens and reject those unsuitable for processing.
• Sort and pack specimens for couriers/porters at designated send out schedules.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and tidy.
• Operate the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for result query, order entry, packing lists for send out, and result entry.
• Perform billing-related tasks.
• Work closely with the Medical Technologists.
• Follow all laboratory protocols and good laboratory practice.
• Report adverse incidents to senior staff.
• Comply with the Laboratory Safety Manual requirements.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
