Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory setting with a focus on electrochemistry/chemistry.
• Knowledge of lab safety, chemical handling, storage, labeling and waste disposal.
• Hands-on experience preparing chemical solutions and operating lab equipment.
• Ability to perform routine checks and coordinate maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day lab operations, housekeeping, equipment upkeep and safety.
• Assist researchers with sample prep, setup, data collection and basic analysis.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of equipment.
• Document procedures, results and observations in lab records.
• Train new lab members on techniques, safety and equipment use.
