ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. seeks an experienced bioprocess operator to run bioreactors and downstream steps across multiple scales, ensuring product targets and quality.

You will perform in-process testing, maintain Batch Manufacturing Records, and uphold GMP/GDP standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires 5 years of fermentation experience, familiarity with SCADA systems, and strong documentation discipline.

Formación

• Diploma or equivalent in a relevant science/engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or a related field; fermentation experience is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of GMP/GDP and good documentation practices.
• Familiarity with ISO/food safety standards is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Operate bioreactors and downstream equipment including centrifugation, filtration, chromatography, spray drying and related processes.
• Perform in-process testing and complete Batch Manufacturing Records and related documentation per GMP/GDP.
• Monitor processes via on-site panels and SCADA; report issues and support corrective actions.
• Assist in safety, 5S, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support engineers in troubleshooting deviations and participate in validation activities as required.

About the Role

You'll operate bioreactors at multiple scales, run downstream processes including chromatography, spray drying, filtration, and centrifugation, and conduct in-process testing to ensure production targets and product quality are consistently met.

What You Will Do

Upstream Operations

• Perform material handling including receiving, storage, and dispensing
• Operate fermentation processes including media preparations, sampling, adjustments, and charge out for plate, shake flask, 10L, and 100L bioreactors

Downstream Operations

• Operate batch/continuous centrifuge, decanter, high-pressure homogenisation, filtration, chromatography (including FPLC), spray drying, freeze drying, drum drying, solvent extraction, colloid mill, and filter press
• Perform CIP/SIP procedures as per SOP

In-Process Testing & Quality

• Conduct in-process testing including moisture analysis, pH, optical density, microscopy, dry/wet cell weight, SDS-PAGE, GC, and HPLC
• Complete all documentation (Batch Manufacturing Records, CIP, Maintenance, Calibration, and Cleaning Records) in accordance with GMP and GDP standards

Process Monitoring & Control

• Monitor and control processes via on-site panel and remotely through SCADA/Controls systems
• Monitor process trends and alarms; report plant utilities issues and liaise with vendors for recovery actions

Maintenance, Safety & Housekeeping

• Perform pre- and post-campaign activities, manual cleaning, and equipment inspection
• Perform basic maintenance of production equipment
• Conduct stock counts and generate shift reports; ensure proper shift handover communications
• Assist Process Engineers in troubleshooting deviations; report all actual, near-miss, and potential incidents
• Participate in 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Assist in project commissioning and validation activities as required

What We Are Looking For

• Diploma or equivalent in Food Science/Technology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or a related field; experience in fermentation is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Familiarity with food safety requirements; experience with ISO22000, FSSC22000, or BRC certification implementation is advantageous
