Job summary

SILESIA FLAVOURS SOUTH EAST ASIA PTE LTD is seeking a Lab Assistant to support flavour development and sample preparation in a busy laboratory. You will assist flavourists, prepare samples, and handle documentation while maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or Food Technology, with 2 years of relevant experience or internships for fresh graduates.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder with 2 years of relevant experience in food, flavour, chemical, pharmaceutical, or similar industry.
• Fresh graduates with a Diploma/Degree in a relevant field may be considered with relevant internship experience.
• Able to operate laboratory equipment and follow laboratory procedures and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Compound flavour samples according to approved recipes and instructions.
• Assist Flavourists with flavour creation, sample preparation, and sensory evaluations/tastings.
• Prepare and pack flavour samples for applications, Product Management, FTF, QC, and customer requirements.
• Assist Flavourists with relevant SAP activities and sample documentation.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organisation, and good housekeeping standards.
• Clean, manage, and return laboratory glassware and equipment to designated locations.
• Monitor stocks of raw materials, bottles, and laboratory supplies, and coordinate replenishment with MRP, Purchasing, or approved suppliers.
• Assign storage locations for new raw materials and flavours.
• Provide backup support toother Lab Assistants and laboratory support staff when required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Lab Assistant Lead, Flavourist or Technical Director.

• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills; SAP experience is an advantage.
