Job summary

F&N Foods Pte Ltd is seeking a Quality Lab Assistant to support routine QC activities in our Singapore laboratory. You will coordinate sampling from warehouses, assist in chemical and physical testing, and help manage documentation and COAs from suppliers.

You will also support complaint-related testing, liaise with departments to resolve issues, and assist halal certification coordination with the Halal Coordinator and co-packer.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QC Officer in routine laboratory activities, including arranging sample collection from internal warehouses and conducting chemical and physical testing, as well as sample incubation when required.
• Update, maintain, and review shipment documentation for traded products to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper record management; obtain COA from suppliers and file properly.
• Provide support in complaint-related testing for traded products, working with relevant departments to investigate and resolve customer complaints.
• Coordinate customer complaint handling: notify parties and prepare complaint samples for submission to suppliers.
• Collaborate with Halal Coordinator and co-packer to facilitate new product and renewal applications, ensuring halal certification compliance.
• Provide operational support during leave periods to ensure continuity of laboratory operations and productivity.
• Collaborate with the team on monitoring New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and Key Quality studies for traded products, aiding data collection, analysis, reporting.
• Assist in preparation, organization, and maintenance of documentation for new products and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee and manage calibration program for laboratory equipment; ensure instruments calibrated and in proper working condition; implement 5S principles.
• Ensure proper disposal of expired products and shredded documents in accordance with schedules and regulatory requirements.
• Review and sign-off on the write-off process at the Dry Warehouse, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with internal procedures and controls.
• Prepare and submit requisitions for Finished Goods (FG) products through the appropriate internal channels and systems.

• Coordinate customer complaint handling processes by promptly notifying relevant parties and preparing complaint samples for submission to suppliers for further analysis and resolution.
• Collaborate closely with the Halal Coordinator and co-packer to facilitate new product and renewal applications, ensuring full compliance with halal certification requirements.
• Provide operational support to colleagues during periods of leave to ensure continuity of laboratory operations and maintain overall productivity.
• Collaborate with the team in monitoring New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and conducting Key Quality studies for traded products, contributing to data collection, analysis, and reporting activities.
