Job summary

AlwaysHired Pte. Ltd. is seeking Lab Support Assistants to maintain a clean, organized, and safe biotechnology laboratory environment.

The role includes supporting routine operational activities and ensuring work follows SOPs, with training provided for assigned functions. Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school education or equivalent.
• Prior experience in laboratory support or related environments is advantageous.
• Candidates without laboratory experience are welcome; training will be provided.
• Comfortable working in a laboratory environment and following strict SOPs.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays according to roster.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling lab materials.
• Designated laboratory functions may require cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, sanitisation and upkeep of laboratory work areas, equipment and tools.
• Assist with the preparation, handling and organisation of laboratory materials and supplies.
• Support day-to-day laboratory operations across assigned functions, including QC/Detection, Buffer Preparation, P1 and Expression.
• Carry out basic equipment cleaning, sterilisation and related maintenance activities according to SOPs.
• Assist with routine monitoring, recording and completion of operational checklists.
• Maintain cleanliness, proper housekeeping and compliance with laboratory safety procedures.
• Support other laboratory functions when required, subject to training and competency assessment.
• Perform other operational duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Description

We are hiring Lab Support Assistants to support the daily operations of a biotechnology laboratory.

The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organised and safe laboratory environment, supporting routine operational activities and ensuring that work is carried out according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Training will be provided for the assigned laboratory functions.

• Candidates assigned to designated laboratory functions must be comfortable working in a cleanroom environment.

Working Arrangements

• 5-day work week, including rostered weekends.

• Standard working hours: 9am – 6pm.

• Certain laboratory functions operate from 8am – 5pm.

• Fixed working-day arrangements may be considered based on operational requirements.

• Training and on‑the‑job guidance will be provided.
