Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience in a research environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of chemicals, radiation and hazardous materials management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Meticulous, proactive, diligent and able to work independently.
• Able to work in a dynamic environment; service oriented team player.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of regulated and unregulated material inventory.
• Verify the procurement and delivery of controlled items.
• Interact with equipment, material and chemical suppliers and ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements.
• Perform chemical verification and radiation safety in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
• Provide support for managing hazardous substances, including metallic powders, chemicals, nanomaterials and other materials used in additive manufacturing and its secondary processes.
• Provide support for document control and facilitate the flow of information within the research community.
• Provide support for safety inspection and safety audit, ensuring all submitted documents are in order.
• Provide support for office and laboratory access.
• Ensure laboratory operations follow relevant national/university safety regulations and occupational health and safety standards.
