Job summary

The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant/Associate in the Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology or related discipline.
• Prior laboratory research experience; experience in laboratory management, procurement, equipment maintenance or research administration advantageous.
• Highly organised, responsible and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently and within a research team; good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in common computer applications including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and general operation of the laboratory.
• Manage procurement of consumables, reagents and equipment, including quotations, ordering, deliveries and documentation.
• Maintain laboratory inventories and ensure adequate stocks of reagents and supplies.
• Coordinate maintenance, servicing, calibration and repair of equipment with vendors and university units.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and support compliance with safety, biosafety and administrative requirements, including onboarding of staff and students.
