Job summary

NTU Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant in Organic Chemistry to support Prof Loh Teck Peng's laboratory. The role focuses on laboratory housekeeping, chemical procurement, and general administrative support to the research group.

Responsibilities include coordinating procurement, maintaining records, assisting with supervised experiments and data collection, and ensuring safety and compliance within the lab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Relevant research experience in organic/synthetic chemistry is preferred.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to maintain laboratory records, inventories and routine procurement/admin documentation.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to support experimental research under supervision and to collect, organise and perform basic analysis of research data.
• Good written and oral communication skills with proficiency in common office software.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day laboratory operations, records and inventories.
• Coordinate approved laboratory procurement and purchasing documentation.
• Provide routine administrative support to the PI and research group.
• Assist with supervised experimental research, data collection and documentation.
• Support laboratory housekeeping, safety and procedural compliance.
