Job summary

WSH Experts Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Lab Assistant to support science labs for Primary 3 to Primary 6. You will prepare equipment and teaching aids, replenish consumables, and maintain cleanliness of the three Science labs and preparation rooms, ensuring everything is properly labelled and stocked.

You will also assist with the Science garden and hydroponic area, support after-school programmes and weekly E2K sessions, and handle ad-hoc administrative tasks such as laminating posters, data

Responsibilities

• Preparation of equipment and teaching/learning aids for experiments conducted by teachers and students from Primary 3 to Primary 6
• Replenishing items that are consumed e.g. limewater, iodine, paper, towels, hand soap
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all three Science labs and preparation rooms and science equipment
• Maintain the Science garden: basic planting and maintenance, daily watering of plants and clearing of stagnant water in flower pots
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the hydroponic area; prepare, wash and clean hydroponic beds before and after each cycle of planting and harvesting
• Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resources are labeled
• Support after-school programme; prepare teaching resources and equipment required for CCA and E2K sessions weekly
• Prepare teaching resources for teachers and department head (lamination of posters, data entry, scanning of pictures for worksheets)
• Check, count and sort Science magazines according to class register for distribution
• Maintaining equipment e.g. microscopes in the Science Labs in good working order
• Assisting the Head of Department and Subject Head to liaise with vendors
• Assisting in science activities e.g. science week activities and other ad-hoc administrative activities such as keying in of inventory items
• Assisting science teachers in conducting laboratory activities
• Any other duties as assigned by Head of Department / Level Head / teacher-in-charge
