Job summary

HI5 CONSULTING SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. seeks a Network Engineer specializing in routing and switching for on-site roles at client premises in Singapore.

You will implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches, IOS, NAC solutions, wireless controllers, and firewall products as part of a multi-vendor environment. You will perform problem analysis, configuration changes, and proactive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Expert level knowledge in Cisco Routers and Switches
• Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS
• Experience with NAC solutions (e.g., ClearPass/ISE)
• Familiarity with Aruba ClearPass / Cisco ISE
• Experience with Wireless networks and controllers
• Solid understanding of OSI/TCP-IP model
• Provide Level-2 technical support and troubleshooting
• CCNP certification required
• Hands-on with monitoring and diagnostics tools
• Knowledge of firewall products (Cisco ASA, FortiGate, Palo Alto, Checkpoint)
• Experience with F5 load balancers

Responsibilities

• Work at customer premises following Workplace security policies
• Resolve incidents related to Routing and Switching, including problem analysis
• Perform configuration change activities
• Update Service Desk tickets with problem status
• Operate network infrastructure and monitor performance
• Coordinate with vendors for testing and maintenance
• Perform OS upgrades and patching as required
• Provide 24x7 on-site/remote support for critical issues
• Escalate issues to vendor support and track resolution
• Provide multi-vendor hardware support across various devices
• Maintain certificate inventories and renewals
• Conduct security hardening and health checks per IBM policies
• Maintain IBM inventory and compliance databases
• Keep device software/firmware up to date
• Receive vendor notifications for vulnerabilities and patch accordingly
• Handle device activation/deactivation per service processes
• Manage IP address inventory and allocation as needed
• Coordinate third-party vendors for hardware issues
• Monitor End of Life / End of Support notices and inform client
