Job summary

TECHEMERGE SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support customer premises deployments, overseeing routing/switching and security controls.

You will resolve complex issues, perform configurations, and coordinate with vendors for testing and maintenance, ensuring robust network performance at client sites. The role requires CCNP or equivalent, strong knowledge of Cisco ASAs, FortiGate, and firewall concepts, plus hands-on use of monitoring and diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco routers/switches across series.
• Strong working knowledge of Cisco IOS and NAC implementations.
• Experience with Aruba ClearPass and Cisco ISE deployments.
• Experience with wireless networks, APs and controllers.
• Solid understanding of OSI/TCP-IP models.
• Ability to provide Level-2 technical support and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with network monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics tools.
• Familiar with firewall products (Cisco ASA, FortiGate, Palo Alto, Checkpoint)
• CCNP certification or equivalent credential is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance at customer premises.
• Handle problem resolution, escalation, and closure for routing/switching issues.
• Execute configuration changes as required.
• Provide problem status updates to the Service Desk and log in ticketing system.
• Conduct day-to-day network operations and performance monitoring at client sites.
• Coordinate testing and preventive maintenance with vendor teams.
• Plan OS upgrades and patching as needed.
• Ensure 24x5 onsite coverage and 24x7 standby for critical incidents.
• Produce proactive incident reports within 24 hours for network problems.
• Respond to fault calls via emails and other channels for firewall issues.
• Escalate issues to vendor support and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide multi-vendor equipment support across various models.
• Maintain certificates inventory and perform renewals when required.
• Enforce IBM security policies including hardening and health checks.
• Maintain client device inventory and ensure firmware up-to-date.
• Monitor End of Life/End of Support notices and advise client.
