Kubernetes Production Support Engineer - Azure/AKS

Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a DevOps Support Engineer to help diagnose production incidents and support business-critical applications across cloud and containerised environments. You’ll work closer to the engineering layer, investigating issues in Kubernetes workloads and collaborating with application, infra, network and database teams.

You’ll perform incident management, log analysis and root-cause investigations, with exposure to Azure AKS and related cloud components.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production support experience in Kubernetes environments.
• Troubleshooting pods, deployments, services and container logs.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure; hands-on AKS is a plus.
• Solid Linux knowledge and production support skills.
• Familiar with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Elasticsearch, Datadog).
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Exposure to CI/CD, deployments and release processes.
• Ability to investigate network, infra and configuration issues beyond the app.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on L2 production support and incident ownership.
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes environments including pods, deployments, and services.
• Investigate cross-layer issues across application, infrastructure, network and DB.
• Assist deployments, releases and upgrades and diagnose failures.
• Analyze logs, alerts and metrics to identify root causes.
• Work with Azure AKS environments and related cloud components.
• Perform SQL/database investigations as needed.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Infrastructure and vendors during investigations.
• Participate in incident management, RCAs and continuous improvements.
• Support production environments with potential after-hours coverage.
