Job summary

SODENG JEJU PTE. LTD. in Singapore invites applications for an Assistant Cook to support our Korean kitchen. You will assist in preparing and cooking traditional Korean dishes, organize ingredients, and follow senior chefs’ instructions to plate dishes.

We value basic English, ability to stand long hours, and willingness to work weekends and evenings. Training is provided for passionate individuals with an interest in Korean cuisine and food safety.

Qualifications

• No formal culinary degree required; relevant kitchen experience preferred.
• Experience as assistant cook or kitchen helper is a plus.
• Basic English proficiency for effective communication.
• Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg.
• Knowledge of Korean cuisine preferred; training provided.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Willing to work during busy periods, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking traditional Korean dishes such as Kimchi, Bulgogi, Bibimbap, etc.
• Organize ingredients and prepare necessary kitchen tools and supplies.
• Perform basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
• Follow instructions from senior chefs and kitchen staff to cook and plate dishes.
• Ensure food quality and hygiene are maintained throughout the cooking process.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and tools, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Assist with cleaning and organizing the kitchen after service to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
