Job summary

GOLDEN CAFE FOOD PLACE PTE. LTD. is seeking a kitchen assistant to support chefs and the team in food preparation and station setup. You will maintain cleanliness, ensure safety standards, and help with storage and waste handling in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of kitchen experience, knowledge of food safety, and strong teamwork. Flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays are required. This role offers growth opportunities within the kitchen.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• No allergy to seafood and able to work in a non-halal environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Ensure kitchen areas are cleaned and sanitized according to food safety standards.
• Stock and organize food supplies and ingredients in the kitchen.
• Assist in the proper storage of food and ingredients, ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines.
• Handle and dispose of kitchen waste responsibly.
• Help in basic cooking and food assembly as instructed by the chef.
• Support in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service.
• Ensure that kitchen tools and equipment are in good working condition and report any malfunctions.
• Assist with other kitchen duties as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
