Job summary

SENG FOOD PTE. LTD. is seeking a reliable Stall Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations at our busy hawker stall. You will assist with food preparation, cooking, order preparation and stock handling while upholding high hygiene standards.

Training is provided and prior stall experience is welcome but not required. You should be physically fit, able to stand for long periods, and willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Location varies as we expand.

• Experience in food stall or kitchen environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily opening and closing duties of the stall kitchen.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, portioning and marinating.
• Assist with basic cooking and preparation of food items.
• Prepare and assemble customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Cook or heat items according to standard recipes and portion sizes.
• Replenish ingredients, sauces, condiments and supplies.
• Maintain FIFO labeling, storage and rotation.
• Receive, check and store incoming ingredients and supplies.
• Monitor stock levels and inform supervisor of low-stock items.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas.
• Wash utensils and equipment.
• Keep stall kitchen organized and ready for operations.
• Follow food safety and workplace hygiene procedures.
• Ensure proper handling of raw and cooked foods.
• Follow standard portioning to minimize wastage.
• Work with team during peak periods.
• Assist with packing takeaway and delivery orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Stall Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a responsible and hardworking Stall Kitchen Assistant to support the daily kitchen operations of our food stall. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, cooking, order preparation, stock handling and general kitchen cleanliness while maintaining good food quality and hygiene standards. Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Various (we are expanding)

Salary: $2000 - $3000

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with daily opening and closing duties of the stall kitchen.

• Prepare ingredients such as washing, cutting, portioning and marinating according to company recipes and SOPs.

• Assist with basic cooking and preparation of food items.

• Prepare and assemble customer orders accurately and efficiently.

• Cook or heat food items according to standard recipes and portion sizes.

• Replenish ingredients, sauces, condiments and kitchen supplies during operations.

• Ensure ingredients and food items are properly labelled, stored and rotated according to FIFO procedures.

• Assist with receiving, checking and storing incoming ingredients and supplies.

• Monitor stock levels and inform the Supervisor of low-stock items.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the cooking area, preparation area, refrigerators, equipment and storage areas.

• Wash and clean utensils, cookware, kitchen equipment and operating tools.

• Keep the stall kitchen clean, organised and ready for operations at all times.

• Follow proper food handling, food safety and workplace hygiene procedures.

• Ensure raw and cooked food are handled and stored properly to prevent contamination.

• Follow standard portion sizes to maintain consistency and minimise food wastage.

• Work closely with other stall team members to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak periods.

• Assist with packing takeaway and delivery orders when required.

• Perform other stall and kitchen-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Job Requirements

• Prior experience in a food stall, hawker stall, food court, restaurant or kitchen environment is an advantage.

• Candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply; training can be provided.

• Willing to learn food preparation and basic cooking procedures.

• Able to follow recipes, SOPs and instructions accurately.

• Good awareness of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.

• Responsible, punctual and willing to work as part of a team.

• Able to work in a fast-paced food stall environment.

• Physically fit and comfortable standing for extended periods.

• Comfortable handling kitchen equipment, hot food and cooking areas.

• Able to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays according to operational requirements.

• Food Safety Course Level 1 certification would be an advantage.
