Job summary

DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. is seeking a proactive operator to support day-to-day dry bulk vessel operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate schedules, monitor voyages, and liaise with owners, charterers, agents, and port authorities to ensure timely execution and regulatory compliance. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and develop within the shipping industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Shipping, Business, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcomed.
• Strong interest in the shipping and maritime industry, particularly dry bulk operations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the shipping industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating the day-to-day operations of dry bulk vessels.
• Monitor vessel schedules and voyage progress to ensure timely execution.
• Liaise with vessel owners, charterers, agents, terminals, masters, and port authorities on operational matters.
• Coordinate port calls, cargo loading and discharge activities, and voyage documentation.
• Monitor vessel performance, port turnaround times, and operational updates.
• Prepare and maintain voyage files, operational records, and reports.
• Verify Statements of Facts (SOF), cargo documents, and operational invoices.
• Support the resolution of operational issues, delays, and off-hire matters under the guidance of senior operators.
• Work closely with the Chartering and Operations teams to ensure smooth voyage execution.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
