Liberty Specialty Markets Singapore Pte Limited is seeking a Trainee Underwriter to join our Financial Risk Solutions team in Singapore. You will support the underwriting process for standard risk segments, assist with market research, rating, and client/broker interactions, and learn to apply pricing guidelines under supervision.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Economics or Finance preferred.
• Excellent working knowledge of PC-based systems and applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Providing support in maintaining relationships with brokers and clients to facilitate marketing, sales and training of Liberty brand and products.
• Assisting the underwriting team with reviewing, rating and underwriting target new and renewal business.
• Learning and applying selling and negotiation strategies to contribute to profitability of the specialty line(s).
• Ensuring high levels of underwriting service to brokers and clients.
• Developing understanding of Liberty's product offerings and variations in market wording.
• Contributing to product development and marketing plans through market research and competitive analysis.
• Reviewing policy terms and endorsements and assisting with manuscript policy wordings.
• Participating in marketing plan execution and learning Liberty operations and processes.
• Assisting in premium payments reconciliation with Finance.
• Representing Liberty at industry events and conferences.
• Building brand presence and internal stakeholder collaboration.
• Maintaining logs and preparing reports; supporting audits and compliance.
