Job summary

Liberty Specialty Markets in Singapore is seeking a Senior Executive – Product-Non-Motor (Property & Casualty Underwriting) to evaluate, underwrite and manage new and renewal commercial business within delegated authorities.

This role supports profitable growth by delivering sound technical decisions, developing strong intermediary relationships and providing effective technical support to Distribution colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or recognized professional insurance qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in Commercial Lines underwriting, with Property/Casualty experience preferred.
• Actively pursuing professional insurance designations such as ACII, AAII or equivalent preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of commercial lines products, underwriting principles, policy wordings and contract language.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and decision‑making skills within delegated authority.
• Proficient with underwriting systems and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess and quote new and renewal business within authority limits and guidelines.
• Make technically sound underwriting decisions to support profitable growth.
• Review policy terms, conditions, endorsements, deductibles and pricing for coverage adequacy.
• Conduct risk assessments and review risk information and controls.
• Develop relationships with intermediaries to support growth of profitable accounts.
• Provide technical underwriting support and product information to distribution colleagues and intermediaries.
• Negotiate terms with intermediaries balancing customer needs and underwriting discipline.
• Monitor portfolio performance and trends; adjust actions as needed.
• Ensure accurate underwriting documentation and system records.
• Comply with policies, governance standards and AML controls.
