Job summary

Bright Point Capital Pte Ltd seeks motivated individuals for a trainee role in asset & portfolio management. You will learn trading concepts from core team members and conduct fundamental and quantitative research across commodities, energy and financial markets.

Work closely with traders, quants and tech teams to enhance research capabilities, using Python and AI tools to automate workflows and generate market insights. A permanent position may follow after the training period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong self-motivation and team-player mindset.
• Programming skills: Python, C++, C#, VBA, etc.

Responsibilities

• Learn trading concepts from core team members and support trading decisions.
• Conduct fundamental and quantitative research across commodity, energy and financial markets.
• Monitor market developments and price movements to identify market trends.
• Analyse market data, pricing relationships and opportunities to prepare actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain analytical models, datasets, dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with traders, quants and tech teams to enhance research capabilities.
• Utilise Python and AI tools to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
• Gain exposure to trading strategies, position management and risk controls with growth opportunities.
