Job summary

Pinpoint Asset Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is recruiting interns for a 2027 full-time role that will be retained after a 4-8 week internship in late 2026 or early 2027.

Interns will receive comprehensive training on fundamental research, report to the Portfolio Manager and CIO, and perform deep dives into industry themes with exposure to portfolio construction and risk management. Strong analytical and programming skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above, Master’s preferred.
• Science-related majors desired (math, physics, stats, etc.).
• Interest in public market investments and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Receive comprehensive training on fundamental research for real-life cases.
• Conduct fundamental research on themes and supply chains.
• Track market trends and portfolio status under guidance of PM/CIO.
• Pitch ideas with valuation and downside protection.
• Prepare for portfolio construction and risk management guidance.

Responsibilities

• Receive comprehensive training and practice on fundamental research for real-life cases, reporting to Portfolio Manager and Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) directly;
• Conduct fundamental research on key themes and dig deep into the upstream and downstream supply chain of specific industries;
• Track market trend and portfolio status quo closely under the guidance of the portfolio managers;
• Pitch investment ideas to portfolio managers or CIO with reasonable valuation, modeling and downside protection;
• Prepare for further development including portfolio construction and risk management under Risk and Compliance guidance.

Requirements

• We are open to Bachelor’s degree and above (candidates with a Master’s degree is preferred), with preference in science related majors, including Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Actuarial, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance and etc.;
• We prefer outgoing personalities and strong will to face direct pressure and challenges from the market;
• We hope the candidates with strong commitment to public market investment, who can devote him/herself to this industry with a clear goal of being portfolio manager in the future;
• Programming skills can be a plus.

Career Progression

1. Internship: Gain exposure to the hedge fund industry through hands-on research projects and mentorship from experienced portfolio managers;
2. Analyst: Participate in cross-functional rotations and receive training in financial modelling, valuation, macro research, and programming;
3. Research Associate: Develop expertise in fundamental research, portfolio construction, and risk management while building investment ideas and managing a simulated portfolio;
4. Junior Associate Portfolio Manager: Begin managing a real-money portfolio, with performance-based incentives tied to investment results;
