Job summary

Newbridge in Singapore seeks a highly analytical Junior Quantitative Trader to join the trading team. You will work with experienced traders, researchers and engineers to develop and backtest trading ideas through to live execution and risk management.

Ideal candidates hold a quantitative degree with strong numerical skills and programming experience in Python/C++/Java, and possess a genuine interest in financial markets and technology. This is a high-potential, early-career role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, CS, Engineering, Economics or quantitative field.
• Strong foundations in probability, statistics and mathematical modelling.
• Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Programming experience in Python, C++, Java or similar.
• Genuine interest in financial markets and quantitative trading.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and fast learning.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial market and trading data to identify patterns and opportunities.
• Develop, test and refine quantitative trading signals and strategies.
• Backtest, analyse performance and monitor live strategies.
• Research market microstructure, order-book dynamics and execution behaviour.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to implement strategies.
• Continuously evaluate live performance and adapt strategies.
