Job summary

Achieve Group's client, a global commodities trading firm, seeks a driven Junior Trader to join its Singapore team. This is an early-stage front-office opportunity for someone with exposure to physical commodities, dry bulk, or shipping.

You will support trading, monitor market fundamentals, and build market intelligence while developing pricing and deal execution skills. This role offers a clear path to growing into a front-office trading position within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–4 years’ experience in physical commodities trading.
• Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the trading team in executing physical spot and term transactions
• Monitor market fundamentals, including supply and demand, freight, inventories and price movements
• Build market intelligence across producers, customers, traders, brokers and logistics providers
• Assist with pricing, deal structuring, contract negotiation and trade execution
• Work closely with Operations, Risk, Finance and Shipping teams to ensure smooth deal performance
• Prepare market updates, trading analysis and reports
• Develop relationships with customers and industry counterparties across the region

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies or a related discipline with 3-4 years' experience in in physical commodities trading, dry bulk, commercial operations, shipping or a related field
• Strong interest in building a long-term career in physical commodities trading
• Good understanding of commodity markets, trade flows and commercial drivers
• Strong numerical, analytical and communication skills
• Proactive, resilient and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
