Job summary

JDA WMS Pte Ltd is seeking a Junior Site Engineer to assist planning, coordination, and supervision of site activities for infrastructure and construction projects. You will work with project engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure works are carried out safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil preferred) or related field; no experience required.

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Site Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and supervision of site activities for infrastructure and construction projects. The role will work closely with project engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure works are carried out safely, accurately, and according to schedule.

Job Scope

• Assist in monitoring daily construction activities and site progress.

• Supervise workers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, quality standards, and safety requirements.

• Conduct site inspections and report defects, discrepancies, or technical issues to the project team.

• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments on site and technical matters.

• Assist in preparing method statements, work schedules, inspection records, progress reports, and technical submissions.

• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and other site resources to support efficient project execution.

• Review construction drawings and coordinate with the technical team to resolve drawing discrepancies and site constraints.

• Support testing, inspections, handover activities, and the rectification of outstanding works.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Civil Engineering.

• Candidates from other engineering disciplines with relevant infrastructure project exposure may also be considered.

• No experience required

• Basic understanding of construction methods, engineering drawings, and site operations.

• Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or BIM software is advantageous.

• Able to work effectively in a site-based environment and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.
