Job summary

InCommodities APAC is seeking a Junior Risk Analyst in Singapore to support daily risk reporting, P/L attribution, VaR and limit monitoring across APAC power, gas and environmental products.

You will build risk tools in Python and SQL, explore AI-assisted workflows, and work closely with Head of Risk and CFO. The role is developmental with close mentoring, offering exposure to front office teams and a startup culture.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of relevant experience in risk, trading, banking, audit or corporate finance.
• Hold a tertiary qualification in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, science or a similar quantitative discipline.
• Have a genuine interest in energy and commodity markets; exposure to power, gas, emissions or renewables is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Have some programming experience, ideally Python and SQL, or a clear aptitude and appetite to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the automated production of the daily and weekly market risk reporting across APAC power, gas and environmental products.
• Monitor exposures against mandates and trading limits; report breaches toHead of Risk and CFO.
• Support counterparty credit reviews: analyse financial statements, prepare credit scorecards and internal ratings.
• Track counterparty exposure, collateral and margin requirements; assist liquidity forecasting.
• Build and maintain risk tools in Python and SQL; automate data pipelines and reporting.
• Apply AI tools to accelerate analysis and dashboard development.
