Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Junior Project Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to support planning, coordination and execution of engineering projects from start to finish. There will be opportunities for regional travelling and training.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and clients, prepare technical drawings and documentation, assist with costing and procurement, and help ensure safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and technical drawings.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of engineering projects from start to completion.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure projects are delivered according to schedule and requirements.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, reports and project documentation.
• Assist with project costing, material procurement and coordination with suppliers.
• Support site visits, inspections and installation works when required.
• Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding technical and operational matters.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during project execution.
• Ensure engineering works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Maintain proper project records and documentation.
• Perform other project-related and ad-hoc duties as assigned.
