PERSOL is seeking a Junior Physics Application Engineer to support the development, application, and customer use of XRF spectroscopy systems. You will receive hands-on training in XRF instrumentation, data analysis, and application development while collaborating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Physics, Applied Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of basic physics principles (e.g. electromagnetism, atomic physics).
  • Working knowledge of mathematics and basic statistics (data analysis, uncertainty, trends).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • High willingness to learn new concepts, tools, and experimental techniques.
  • Ability to work methodically and pay attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the operating principles of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy and related instrumentation.
  • Support application development, testing, and validation of XRF measurement methods.
  • Assist in troubleshooting measurement issues and identifying root causes using physics-based reasoning.
  • Perform basic data analysis, statistical evaluation, and result interpretation.
  • Support internal teams (R&D, service, sales) with technical input and application knowledge.
  • Participate in customer demonstrations, system setup, and basic training activities (with guidance).
  • Document procedures, application notes, and experimental results clearly and accurately.

Role Description

We are seeking a motivated Junior Physics Application Engineer to support the development, application, and customer use of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy systems. This role is ideal for candidates who is eager to learn applied spectroscopy, work closely with customers and internal teams, and develop strong problem-solving skills in a real-world industrial environment.

You will receive hands-on training in XRF instrumentation, data analysis, and application development while contributing to system characterization, troubleshooting, and customer support activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn the operating principles of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectroscopy and related instrumentation
