Job summary

PINETREE SECURITIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to own the day-to-day contract management within a CMS-licensed environment. You will draft, review, and turn around NDAs, MOUs, and core commercial clauses, reporting to the Head of Compliance & Legal.

The role emphasizes rapid legal workflow support, regulatory monitoring, and collaboration with front-office teams to safeguard regulatory boundaries in a high-velocity financial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent from a recognized university.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience.
• Basic understanding of banking operations, financial markets, or corporate commercial law.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to drive long-term business initiatives and manage multiple stakeholders, particularly in South Korea.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Prior exposure to a Financial Institution, Asset Management firm, or CMS licensed entity is highly advantageous.
• This role is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.

Responsibilities

• Contract Management: Review, draft, negotiate, and finalize a high volume of core legal documents, with a primary focus on NDAs, MOUs, and standard commercial agreements.
• Clause-Level Review: Execute precise reviews of specific paragraphs, provisions, and terms within complex agreements to mitigate legal risks and propose alternative drafting.
• Regulatory Support: Assist in monitoring changes in financial regulations and updating internal policies.
• Workflow Optimization: Efficiently manage the contract lifecycle to ensure agreements are processed with high accuracy and speed, aligned with the timelines required by business units.
• Legal Support: Assist the Head of Legal & Compliance with corporate secretarial matters, regulatory research, and the maintenance of internal legal templates.
