Job summary

Onyx Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to join our legal team in Singapore. You will report to the General Counsel and handle drafting, amendment, and initial review of commercial agreements while safeguarding IP and confidentiality.

You will support regulatory research, corporate governance matters, and due diligence for transactions, as well as manage contract repositories and lifecycle processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold a law degree and be admitted to the Bar in a recognized common law jurisdiction.
• In-house or corporate/commercial experience is preferred with 3–5 years of experience.
• Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and due diligence support.
• Exposure to semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or B2B tech sectors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Draft, amend and conduct first-level reviews of a broad range of commercial agreements including NDAs, procurement, technology services, and supplier contracts.
• Provide corporate governance support and assist in legal due diligence for corporate transactions.
• Maintain contract repositories and optimize contract lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and external counsel.

Job description

A dynamic organization operating within the semiconductor, technology, and advanced manufacturing sectors is currently seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to join their team.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, the Junior Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal, commercial, and corporate governance support across regional business units. You will take ownership of drafting, amending, and conducting first-level reviews of a broad range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, procurement, technology services, and supplier contracts, while safeguarding intellectual property and confidentiality.

Beyond commercial contracting, you will assist in corporate governance matters, support legal due diligence for corporate transactions, and conduct regulatory research. You will also play a key role in legal operations by maintaining contract repositories, optimizing contract lifecycle management, and collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, external counsel, and company secretaries.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Law and admitted to the Bar in a recognized common law jurisdiction
• Candidates who have not been admitted to the Bar are also welcome to apply.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within an in‑house legal function or corporate/commercial legal practice
• Strong foundation in reviewing and drafting commercial contracts, corporate documentation, and supporting legal due diligence
• Prior exposure to the semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, precision engineering, or B2B technology sectors is highly advantageous
• Commercially astute, detail‑oriented, and capable of independently managing routine legal matters while exercising sound judgment on when to elevate issues
• Adaptable and resourceful, with a strong digital mindset and comfort using contract management systems
