Job summary

Space Executive in Singapore seeks a hands-on in-house Legal Counsel for a global contract manufacturing platform. The role covers commercial, compliance, and corporate matters within a multinational manufacturing environment, reporting to the VP Legal.

The position is based at the West Singapore (Jurong East) office, offering exposure to drafting and negotiating contracts, IP filings, governance, and cross-functional training across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-qualification experience in private practice, in-house, or a mix.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate NDAs, customer, supplier, and service agreements.
• Provide practical legal advice to business units and corporate functions.
• Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Assist with corporate secretarial and governance matters, including resolutions and filings.
• Support disputes, claims, and pre-litigation matters, including fact-gathering and coordination with external counsel.
• Coordinate trademark, patent, and other IP filings with R&D and external advisers.
• Maintain legal templates, precedents, and records, and support legal process improvement initiatives.
• Support the delivery of legal and compliance training across the organisation.

Legal Counsel | Global Contract Manufacturing Platform | Singapore

About the Company

We are working with a well-established, Singapore-headquartered global contract manufacturer with over 20 years of operating history. The company designs, engineers, and manufactures products and components for a diversified portfolio of multinational blue-chip brands across consumer electronics, technology, industrial, and healthcare sectors, with manufacturing operations spanning Singapore, China, and Southeast Asia. Backed by a leading Asia-based institutional investor, the company is in an active growth phase with an eye toward future public market re-entry.

The Role

This is a hands-on, execution-focused in-house Legal Counsel role, ideal for a lawyer with strong drafting fundamentals who wants broad, varied exposure across commercial, compliance, and corporate matters within a genuinely multinational manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with business units on day-to-day legal needs, with complex or high-risk matters escalated to senior legal leadership. You'll be joining an established legal team reporting into the VP Legal.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate NDAs, customer, supplier, and service agreements, supporting business teams on contract risk and obligations
• Provide practical legal advice to business units and corporate functions, including legal research and guidance notes
• Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Assist with corporate secretarial and governance matters, including resolutions and filings
• Support disputes, claims, and pre-litigation matters, including fact-gathering and coordination with external counsel
• Coordinate trademark, patent, and other IP filings with R&D and external advisers
• Maintain legal templates, precedents, and records, and support legal process improvement initiatives
• Support the delivery of legal and compliance training across the organisation

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of post-qualification experience, whether gained in private practice, in-house, or a mix of both.
• A general corporate or commercial legal background, with experience drafting and negotiating contracts; candidates from a purely litigation or purely IP-specialist background are less suited to this particular role
• Strong legal fundamentals, sound judgement, and the ability to work independently on day-to-day matters while knowing when to escape
• Comfortable working closely with non-legal, operational stakeholders (engineering, procurement, production teams) in a manufacturing environment

Compensation & Logistics

• Indicative package in the region of SGD 100,000 to 105,000 per annum (fixed), plus variable bonus
• Based full-time at the company's office in West Singapore (Jurong East); this is a fully office-based role
