FREEPOINT COMMODITIES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled energy/trading analyst to support crude oil derivative trading, monitor markets, and help develop strategies. You will collaborate with risk and finance teams to ensure accurate trade capture and reporting.

The role emphasizes quantitative analysis, market modeling, and the ability to navigate fast-paced trading environments in Singapore.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
3+ years of experience in energy trading, commodities, derivatives, risk management, or a related analytical role.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of futures, derivatives, and financial markets.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with Python, VBA, or data analytics tools is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.

Responsibilities

Support the trading and hedging of crude oil derivative products.
Monitor market developments, price movements, fundamental data, and geopolitical events impacting crude oil markets.
Assist in the development and execution of trading strategies and risk management initiatives.
Perform daily market analysis, position reporting, profit and loss monitoring, and trade reconciliation.
Work closely with risk, and finance teams to ensure accurate trade capture and reporting.
Build and maintain market models, pricing tools, and analytical reports to support trading decisions.
Develop market intelligence and provide insights on supply, demand, inventories, refining economics, and macroeconomic trends.
