Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC in Singapore seeks an Energy Trader – Analyst to support senior traders on client energy transactions and develop trading ideas. You will engage with clients, provide market color, and help maximize franchise revenue in a fast-paced APAC environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of commodities trading or analytics experience, a strong understanding of energy fundamentals, and proficiency in Python or SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in commodities trading or analytics.
• Strong understanding of energy fundamentals.
• Ability to assess risk around trading positions and events.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior traders to price client energy transactions.
• Efficiently hedge trading positions to maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with sales to engage clients and provide market color.
• Develop trading ideas using fundamental and technical analysis.
• Support risk management of trading books, including non-linear risk.
• Size and manage positions for profitable trading strategies.
• Perform daily desk functions like marking curves and market commentary.
• Hedge secondary book exposures such as FX and interest rates.
• Contribute to energy fundamental analytics within the energy complex.
• Ensure disciplined adherence to controls and compliance standards.
• Operate effectively within a diverse and international team.
