Esri Singapore seeks a Junior Consultant/Consultant in Professional Services to help clients turn geospatial data, ArcGIS technology, and workflow ideas into practical solutions. You will support delivery engagements across discovery, configuration, data preparation, automation, testing, documentation, and handover.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Strong GIS fundamentals and hands‑on experience with ArcGIS Pro or equivalent GIS software.
  • Working knowledge of spatial data formats, coordinate systems, geodatabases, data modelling, and SQL or database concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python and version control (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps).
  • Clear communication, structured problem‑solving, curiosity, and confidence working with clients, project teams, and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional services engagements: Support client workshops, requirements discovery, solution configuration, testing, documentation, training, and handover across ArcGIS implementation projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Engage with clients and internal teams to clarify business problems, user workflows, requirements, constraints, and success criteria.
  • Design and configure ArcGIS workflows: Configure ArcGIS tools and components in line with Esri best practices to implement geoprocessing, data management, and operational workflows.
  • Prepare and process geospatial data: Import, clean, transform, and organize tabular, spatial, 3D, and geospatial datasets using ArcGIS Pro, Python, SQL, and appropriate ETL tools.
  • Publish and maintain services: Prepare and publish map, feature, scene, and related services, and help maintain service configurations across ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Perform spatial analysis and modelling: Build analysis workflows, models, and tools that apply ArcGIS capabilities and relevant Python libraries to client problems.
  • Automate repeatable work: Use Python scripting, SQL, version control, DevOps tools, and appropriate AI tools to reduce manual effort and improve delivery consistency.
  • Ensure data quality: Apply data validation, QA checks, documentation, and lineage-aware practices to maintain accuracy and consistency across datasets and deliverables.
  • Develop interactive geospatial products: Create clear web maps, scenes, dashboards, Experience Builder apps, and lightweight prototypes that help users understand and act on spatial information.
  • Build product and domain expertise: Continuously build knowledge of the ArcGIS platform and the industries we serve, including government, utilities, transport, public safety, environment, and built environment.
  • Contribute to delivery excellence: Share learnings, support teammates, and help improve reusable workflows, documentation, internal tools, and team playbooks.

About the role

As a Junior Consultant / Consultant in Professional Services, you will help clients turn geospatial data, ArcGIS technology, and workflow ideas into practical solutions. You will support delivery engagements across discovery, configuration, data preparation, automation, testing, documentation, and handover. Whether your background is in GIS, geography, computer science, urban planning, engineering, or environmental science, you will build expertise across sectors such as transportation, utilities, public safety, environment, built environment, and government.

Here’s what a typical day will look like:

  • Deliver professional services engagements: Support client workshops, requirements discovery, solution configuration, testing, documentation, training, and handover across ArcGIS implementation projects.

About you

To be successful you will need to bring along:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Strong GIS fundamentals and hands‑on experience with ArcGIS Pro or equivalent GIS software.
  • Working knowledge of spatial data formats, coordinate systems, geodatabases, data modelling, and SQL or database concepts.

Preferred Skills
  • Working Experience with ArcGIS Pro is preferred.
  • Experience with FME, ArcGIS Data Interoperability, or other spatial ETL tools.
  • Experience with 3D data manipulation or conversion workflows involving CAD/CAM/BIM formats such as DWG, IFC, Revit, or CityGML.
  • Experience with AI tooling for research, coding, documentation, or workflow acceleration, such as Cursor, Codex, Claude, or similar tools. =
  • Experience with web mapping tools such as ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS Experience Builder, web maps, and web scenes.
  • Familiarity with Python, data structures such as JSON, Parquet, XML, Relational Databases (SQL) would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise components, including ArcGIS Server, Portal, Data Store, and service administration.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, version control tools, or scripting beyond Python, such as Azure, AWS, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, or Bash.
