Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a Junior Category Manager to join the Enterprise Sourcing & Procurement team in Singapore. This role offers a great chance to work in a highly structured corporate environment with solid sourcing and procurement responsibilities.

Key duties include understanding business requirements, leading end-to-end procurement, preparing procurement documents, tender management, contracting and finance-related activities, plus vendor management and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Finance, Procurement or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant sourcing and procurement experience.
• Experience in category management, strategic sourcing, tender management and contract negotiation.
• Good understanding of commercial and contract management processes.
• Strong stakeholder, project and relationship management skills.
• Experience in vendor management and risk management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement systems such as SAP, Coupa or similar platforms.
• Strong technology aptitude with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Results-oriented, organised and able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and the background of procurement needs.
• Lead end-to-end procurement activities, working closely with internal stakeholders, Finance, Legal and Technology teams.
• Support stakeholders throughout the procurement process, including preparation of procurement documents, tender management, contracting and finance-related activities.
• Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies to achieve the best commercial value.
• Manage vendor relationships and support effective supplier management.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant procurement policies and vendor risk requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation in procurement management systems such as SAP, Coupa or similar platforms.
• Support reporting, process improvement and other procurement-related projects as required.
