Job summary

Azqore seeks a JAVA / Volpay Developer to design, develop, and implement high-performing payment and messaging solutions using JAVA and VolPay. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and project managers to deliver scalable banking platform components.

Responsibilities include building payment workflows, integrating with SWIFT/ISO20022, REST/SOAP APIs, code reviews, testing, and supporting deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Min 5 years of professional JAVA development experience (core JAVA, J2EE, Spring Framework).
• Strong experience with VolPay payments platform: integration, workflow development, and configuration or similar payment platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop payment and messaging solutions using JAVA and VolPay, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical best practices.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Customize and enhance VolPay workflows and integrations for various payment schemes (SEPA, SWIFT, ISO20022, etc.).
• Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs between internal systems and external payment networks.
• Participate in system architecture design, reviews, and technical documentation.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support UAT and deployments.

As a JAVA / Volpay Developer at Azqore, you will design, develop, and implement high-performing payment and messaging solutions leveraging JAVA technologies and Volpay platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, working closely with business stakeholders, technical experts, and project managers to deliver scalable solutions for our core and digital banking platform.

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop payment and messaging solutions using JAVA and VolPay, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical best practices
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions
• Customize and enhance VolPay workflows and integrations for various payment schemes (SEPA, SWIFT, ISO20022, etc.)
• Develop and maintain APIs and interfaces between internal systems and external payment networks
• Participate in system architecture design, solution reviews, and technical documentation
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support functional/user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Troubleshoot development and production issues related to payment processing and integrations
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and DevOps pipelines
• Provide estimates for assigned development activities and deliver high-quality code within committed timeframes
• Support deployments and post-Go-Live activities ensuring minimal disruption and high system uptime

Your core competencies

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional JAVA development experience (core JAVA, J2EE, Spring Framework)
• Strong experience with Volpay (Volante Technologies) payments platform: integration, workflow development, and configuration or similar payment platform
• Experience with financial messaging (SWIFT, ISO 20022, SEPA, SIC, MEPS, HK etc.) and payment flows
• Hands-on experience developing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs for payment and banking applications
• Familiar with payment digitalization, regulatory requirements such as PSD2, and fraud detection systems
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and integration experience between systems
• Experience in private banking or financial services environments is a strong plus
• Knowledge of agile software development and distributed delivery teams
