ARGYLL SCOTT CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Engineer for its Software Engineering Team in Singapore.

This 12-month contract role involves developing and delivering robust Java/Kotlin applications using Spring Boot, JMS/MQ, and related tech stacks, with a focus on scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into technical designs, tackle complex legacy defects, and work in an Agile environment to uphold banking

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Java/Kotlin and JUnit.
• Experience with Spring Boot and JMS/MQ.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP Web Services and DevOps basics (AWS, CI/CD).
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver with Java/Kotlin, EJB, Spring Boot, MySQL, Oracle and IBM MQ.
• Understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Tackle complex legacy defects and resolve production issues.
• Ensure adherence to bank standards (security and performance).
• Work in Agile environments (Scrum / XP).
• Investigate and resolve production issues to maintain stability.
