Job summary

TechnoPals Pte Ltd is seeking a focused IT support professional to monitor daily batch jobs, apply hotfixes, and coordinate monthly deployments. The role involves collaborating with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues within SLA, while providing first-level user support and participating in system maintenance as needed.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years in IT customer support, a IT-related degree, and hands-on Unix, Java, and Oracle SQL knowledge. Occasional odd hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in customer support within an IT environment.
• Polytechnic or University graduate with IT background.
• Availability to work odd hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring and support of batch jobs.
• Perform hotfixes as required.
• Perform monthly deployments and quarterly DB password changes.
• Assess and schedule batch jobs due to system maintenance activities.
• Provide first level support to business users in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with business partners, third party vendors, and technology teams to achieve effective issue resolution within the specified SLA.
• Analyse, document and track all actions taken throughout the lifecycle of the issue.
• Evaluate documented resolutions, analyse trends, and make recommendations to prevent future occurrences of similar issues.
• Participate with the development team in requirements gathering, clarification, and analyse impacts on issue or users’ requirements.
• Assist the application development team as needed by validating fixes or enhancements to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
• Report to the Project Manager pertaining all production support activities.
• Participate in system maintenance activities at odd hours when required including midnights, weekends and public holidays.
