Job summary

NEWBRIDGE ALLIANCE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Java Developer with solid L2 UAT support experience to bridge development and business users, ensure stability, quick issue resolution, and smooth UAT execution.

You will triage issues, collaborate with Dev, QA, and Ops, monitor environments, run SQL investigations, and contribute to deployment readiness. Strong Java, Spring Boot, and SQL skills with excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in Java development and/or Application Support (L2).
• Strong hands-on in Core Java, Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices.
• Good knowledge of SQL (Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL) - ability to write complex queries for investigation.
• Proficient in log analysis, troubleshooting tools (Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, AppDynamics - any).
• Experience with ticketing tools - JIRA, ServiceNow, Confluence.
• Familiar with Linux/Unix commands, basic shell scripting.
• Understanding of SDLC, ITIL process (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for applications in the UAT environment - triage, investigate, and resolve issues within defined SLAs.
• Act as a bridge between Business Users / QA / UAT testers and L3 Development team.
• Monitor UAT environment stability, batch jobs, logs, and interfaces.
• Manage incident tickets (JIRA / ServiceNow), perform RCA, and ensure proper documentation.
• Debug and fix Java application issues - analyze logs, thread dumps, heap dumps.
• Provide quick fixes, workarounds, and configuration changes for UAT.
• Support deployments, releases, and environment sanity checks.
• Execute SQL queries for data investigation and fix data issues.
• Work closely with Development, QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams.
• Participate in UAT calls, war rooms, and provide timely status updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain support documentation, knowledge base, and SOPs.

Our client, a leading organization in [Banking / Financial Services / Technology ], is looking for a Java Developer with strong L2 Application Support experience to support their UAT environment. This role sits between development and business users, ensuring stability, quick issue resolution, and smooth UAT execution.

This is ideal for someone who is strong technically in Java but also enjoys stakeholder interaction, troubleshooting, and production/UAT support.

Key Responsibilities

UAT & L2 Support

• Provide L2 support for applications in the UAT environment - triage, investigate, and resolve issues within defined SLAs
